I'M IN THE ROYAL AIR FORCE

I’m in the Royal Air Force and I’m stationed
at Matruh
Where I’ve got a little dug out in the sand
Where the flies play tag around me and they
think it’s bloody grand
In my flea bound, bug bound dug out in Matruh

Where the walls are made of Hessian and the
windows 4 x 2
And a door that lets the howling sandstorms through
You can hear those bloody “Eyties” as they circle
overhead
In my flea bound, bug bound dug out in Matruh

I wish I had a pretty girl to sit upon my knee
I would tell her all the things that I’d been through
I would hug her and I’d ---- her if she’d make her
home with me
In my flea bound, bug bound dug out in Matruh
