POSING FOR THE CAMERA
Sylvia Guy (nee: Weeden) was asked, along with other girls to
feature in an Egyptain magazine. She remembers that all the photos were posed
and that they were positioned and directed by the photographer.
Sylvia is pictured in the first photo – up the ladder. When the magazine
was published, Sylvia asked someone to translate the article which turned out
to be very degrading – stating that the English girls spent all their
time drinking, partying and chasing men!
