I wonder how many Canal Zoner members remember
these propaganda leaflets – they were left in all sorts of places where
they could be found by members of our Forces. Rarely, if ever, did they cause
us to be demoralised – on the contrary, they became a great cause of amusement
– and we couldn’t wait for the next edition to be published, and
delivered!! We were informed that should any of these pamphlets be found, they
should be handed to the Royal Military, with details of where they were found,
time, etc. but somehow or other, I must have forgotton to comply with this instruction
and they returned to UK with me!!
