We moved via Malta, sailing to Port Said and finally to RAF Kabrit in January1948

ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - SATURDAY, 6th MARCH 1948

Shortly after arriving at Kabrit, I found myself attending the funeral of 6 RAF and 1 Army personnel who sadly died following a collision on the Canal Road of RAF Kabrit vehicle no. 119741 and an ambulance.

All were buried at Fayid Cemetery and this had a huge impact on all at Kabrit as 5 of them were from Kabrit and known by many who served there.

The list of names of those killed are as follows:

2292960 LAC David D.A. Graham - RAF Kabrit - Age 20

2359440 AC2 William H. Robertshaw - RAF Kabrit - Age 18

4006088 AC2 John P. Stewart - RAF Kasfareet - Age 33

2361274 AC1 Roy Woollard - RAF Kabrit - Age 18

2358389 AC1 Thomas Broster - RAF Kabrit - Age 18 - Died the following day from injuries sustained
