1951
(Subscription Office)
This building was destroyed in the 1952 riots. Ken (the manager)
returned to the UK
and we met up again at W.H. Smiths wholesale warehouse in Birmingham.
I also wonder whether anybody remembers Squadron Leader Anness
AFC who was Senior Equipment Officer at RAF Kabrit in 50/51? A very amicable
officer, who lost an eye in a pre-war accident, and was censured (rather unfairly)
for the huge explosion at RAF Fauld in 1944.
