W.H. Smith & Son, 3 Rue Sikket, El Fadl, Cairo – Sept 1951
(Subscription Office)

This building was destroyed in the 1952 riots. Ken (the manager) returned to the UK
and we met up again at W.H. Smiths wholesale warehouse in Birmingham.

I also wonder whether anybody remembers Squadron Leader Anness AFC who was Senior Equipment Officer at RAF Kabrit in 50/51? A very amicable officer, who lost an eye in a pre-war accident, and was censured (rather unfairly) for the huge explosion at RAF Fauld in 1944.
