2019 ANNIVERSARY REUNION
WEEKEND 6th - 9th SEPTEMBER 2019
Hilton St. Anne's Manor Hotel, Wokingham, Berks RG40 1ST
Saturday was a free day with some going into Wokingham or Bracknell to browse the shops, some just relaxed in the hotel, whilst a few appeared to be joining in the Wedding as unvited guests that was taking place at the hotel!
By 6:15pm everyone was dressed and ready for our formal Reunion Dinner/Dance. Our guests this year were:
Lt. Col. Thomas Donohoe, DCOS 8 Engineer Brigade
WO1 Keith Weller, Royal Navy
Our formal Dinner was followed with speeches by our guests, which certainly kept us all entertained. The lovely Anna Nightingale then sang our requested songs and managed to get everyone involved and many on the dance floor. Both Tom and his lovely wife, Fiona, were a wonderful addition to the evening, taking time to really get to know everyone, telling and listening to many a tale and taking many a turn round the dance floor, even though "they did not dance"! Keith and his family - wife Karen and son Harry - always get 100% involved and always look forward catching up with everyone and joining in our festivities. Our evening ended in our tradional form with "New York, New York" and the "Hokey Cokey" in which, anyone who is still standing, joins in the chaos that ensues!! A most enjoyable evening had by all.
